1.0. Conditions of Participation

– The MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS Final is an trail event organized by APM – Associação de Promoção da Madeira e DRT – Direção Regional de Turismo (Organizador), with the collaboration of CMoF – Clube de Montanha do Funchal that has place in Madeira Island and its made by 5 stages.

1.1. Minimum age for participation in the different races

– To participate in the event participants must be at least 18 years old, as of the date of 31st of December 2022.

1.2. Participants commitments

By registering in MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final, each participant personally agrees to engage in the following:

– I declare that I have read and understood the regulations and ethics of the race;
– I understand and approve the conditions of participation which figure in the regulations;
– I agree to respect all items of the regulations;
– I agree to scrupulously respect and promote an ethical behaviour;
– I agree to be aware of any medical condition which could concern me and, consequently relieve the organisation of any responsibility for any medical problem which may arise during the event due to any negligence on my part;
– I have read, understood and agree that in the case of a false declaration, the organisation reserves the right to cancel my registration without refunding the fees paid;
– I agree to the treatment of my personal data as mentioned in the Data Protection regulations;
– I acknowledge that I will receive from the organization, communication whether by correspondence, email, messages or any other electronic communications services, that are essential for my participation in the event and for my safety.

1.3. Registration Requirements

– Correctly complete the registration process, on the website indicated by the organization.

– The Disclaimer is mandatory for all participants and is accepted by the participant during the registration process.

1.4. Physical conditions

Participants must:

– Be aware of the distance and of the particularities of the event in which they will participate and be sufficiently trained to conclude the race.

– Have acquired, before the race, a real capacity for self-reliance in the mountain, allowing the management of the problems induced by this type of race, particularly in terms of changes in the weather conditions (night, wind, cold, fog, rain or snow), as well as the ability to be autonomous between two check points, not only in food but also in terms of clothing and safety.

-Participants will have to face physical and mental problems resulting from extreme fatigue, digestive problems, joint and muscle pain, etc.

– Be aware that it is not the organization’s role to help any participant to overcome these problems and that this depends mainly on his ability to adapt to problems arising out of this type of event.

1.5. External Aid/Personal Assistance

– Athletes are only allowed to have personal assistance 100 meters before and after aidstations.

– It is expressly forbidden to benefit from services such as, massage, medicine, physiotherapy, etc… provided by people which are external to the organization.

– All other external aid is strictly forbidden, out of the locations designated by the organization.

1.6. Race Bib Placement

– The race bib must be permanently visible throughout the event, i.e. it must be positioned over the clothes, in the area of the chest, abdomen or leg, and cannot be, for any reason, fixed on the back. The name and logo of the sponsors cannot be modified or hidden.

– Only participants with visible race bibs will have access to aid stations/control points.

– Failure to observe these rules entails the penalty provided for in article 2.11.

1.7. Rules of Sport Conduct

– MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final is an event that promotes and privileges, above all, fair play.

– It is fundamental that participants help any person in distress and alert the nearest control post or contact the organization.

– The Organizers reserves itself the right to exclude from the event, even before its start, any participant who through his behaviour conditions the management and/or the proper functioning of the event. If this happens, the participant will not be reimbursed.

– Anti sporting behaviour will be penalized according to its seriousness, as stipulated in article 2.11.

2. Event

2.1. Presentation of the event/Organization

– MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final is limited to around 300 participants, for the total of the event. For the open category will be available 150 places.

– Athletes will be placed in two categories:
– International Elites – The top 30 M&W from the overall ranking after the 6 races of the GTWS will be considered international elites. They will be fully invited* to the GTWS Stage race in Madeira.
– National Elites – The top 3 M&W from each GTNS will be the representative for each GTNS Team. They will be fully invited* to the Stage race in Madeira.
The GTNS teams will compete in the open and gtns team categories.

– The open category will be open to all (individual ranking) except the international elites.
All categories will start together and compete in the same races. The bibs numbers will be in different colors to differentiate the categories.
*Travel expenses = in the maximum specified sum to Madeira: €600 and €1,500 for runners travelling from overseas. The journey includes accommodation, meals & transfers.

– The following description is intended to give a general guideline of the courses, but does not specify in detail the routes, as well as, sometimes, makes use of the popular toponymy, and therefore the organization rejects any liability that may arise from reading this.

Stage 1: 26TH October – Seixal – 24,5 km;
Starting at Seixal Pier the runners go up till Chão da Ribeira where it starts the Uphill segment by the Vereda da Terra Chã, then keep going to Paúl da Serra where they have the Sprint segment on Lameirinhas place, just before the Aid Station. From here the runners follow the PR13 – Vereda do Fanal to get near Fanal forest to a place called Fio, where it starts the Downhill segment through the Vereda da Cavaca back to Chão da Ribeira, to finish again in Seixal Pier.

Stage 2: 27TH October – Machico – 26,6 km;
This stage starts at Forum Machico beach heading up to the Levada do Caniçal and following it till up again to Boca do Risco place, where it starts the Uphill segment. From this segment finish the runners cross all the Funduras forest by wide dirt road then into a trail up till Pico da Coroa where after they will have the Downhill segment on the Vereda da Degolada. Then the runners follow the whole path of Larano where they will have the Sprint segment before climbing till Pico Castanho where they will start to go down to the Finish line passing by Pico do Facho to arrive back to Forum Machico.

Stage 3 Time-Trial: 28TH October – Ponta de São Lourenço – 6,6 km;
This Time-Trial stage starts on the back of Casa do Sardinha, in Ponta de São Lourenço. Following a trail in the direction to the pier close to the camping area they start the uphill segment until the Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço where the segment finishes, after this they will start the Sprint segment, they will follow the same trail until they reach the wooden walkway, here they will follow to the right by a trail that will take them to the Antena Station and to the sightseeing place of Ponta de São Vicente and tot he sightseeing place of the Ponta do Rosto, where they will start descending going to the downhill segment and finishing in the finish line situated on the Prainha beach. 

Nore: The start of this stage is situated 3 kms of the start of the bus parking.

Stage 4: 29TH October Curral das Freiras – 26,2 km;
Curral das Freiras village is the start point of this stage, where the runners head up in a long uphill till the Bocas das Torrinhas place, and from here they turn left to follow the PR1.3 – Vereda da Encumeada, where they will have a little further the Downhill segment just before the Aid Station at Encumeada. From here the race follows through the Levada do Norte, going downhill the water tube of the Camara de carga da Central Hidroelétrica da Serra de Agua and take a left to the  PR12 – Caminho Real da Encumeada where the runners have the Sprit segment at Curral Jangão, before a little further they will start the Uphill segment all the way till Relvinha where they go downhill back to Curral das Freiras village.

Stage 5: 30TH October – Funchal – 30,5 km
The last stage will start at the Largo das Babosas in Monte following in the direction of the Monte Cable Car Station, here they take a right on the Caminho das Lajinhas and then always up in a stony path passing by Terreiro da Luta, and still up to Ribeira das Cales where the runners have the first uphill segment till Chão da Lagoa. From here they follow a trail that goes up to Pico Areeiro, then keep following the PR1 in Pico Ruivo direction. The turn-back point is in a place called Pedra Rija, then the runners go the same way back till Monte, having in Chão da Lagoa the Sprint segment just a little before the aid station at Casa do Burro and right after in the same zone they have done the Uphill segment they will do the Downhill segment. Arriving again at the Largo das Babosas the runners will follow the road access to the Jardim Botânico cable car and then to a trail named Corredor Verde until Levada do Bom Sucesso. Finishing this levada the runners will go trough roads and paths until arriving Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses to the finish line that will be on Praça do Povo e do Funchal

– For reasons of force majeure, the routes and timetables are susceptible of being changed.

2.4. Map/Profile/Route description
– The routes of MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final are mostly composed of paths, trails, footpaths, levadas (irrigation channels), paved forest roads and small stretches of asphalt. The routes use public roads either on-road or off-road, across farms and villages and use service roads that pass through private properties. Therefore the routes will not be closed to the race and participants must take into account the fact that there may be cars, people and animals moving in both directions on the trails. – The routes sometimes follow some roads and sometimes cross them perpendicularly. The crossing must deserve the utmost care on the part of the participants. – The organization will mark the route with signalling ribbons (red and white) with a reflective band and will also use vertical signs. It is imperative to follow the marked paths without taking shortcuts. If a participant doesn’t see any signs for approximately 200 metres, he should go back to find again the respective sign. Common sense should prevail.
2.5. Time Limit
– MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final is an event that integrates five stage races, each with a maximum time limit (see 2.3). – For unexpected reasons (weather and/or security), the organization reserves the right to change the time limits.
2.6. Timing System
– An electronic timing system will be used to control the passage of the participants on the check points. In each check point the passage of the participants will be recorded. – The race bib of each participant will have an electronic chip (tag), which will be used for the registration of the passage of the participants. – Participants who are not present until 15 minutes after the start time will be prevented from starting and, as such, will not be classified.
2.7. Checkpoints
– The checkpoints are compulsory passage points and are located in areas outlined by the organization. In each of these controls there will be a responsible person from the organization. – Not passing in one or more checkpoints will lead to the disqualification of the participant. – Retirements must be done only and exclusively on the aid station. In case of an accident or injury by which the participant is immobilized and unable to reach the aid station, he must activate the rescue operation, by contacting the organization. – The contact number of the organization, for emergency purposes, will be printed on the race bib of the participant and should also be recorded in advance in the participant’s mobile phone. – The organization reserves the right to modify at any time the routes and position of the check/supply points, without notice. In the event of adverse weather conditions at the start, the start may be delayed by up to two hours, after which period, the stage is cancelled. There will be no right to reimbursement. – During the event, in case of bad weather, and for security reasons, the organization reserves the right to modify the time limits, or to suspend, reduce, neutralize or stop the stage. There will be no right to reimbursement.
2.8. Aid Stations Location
– The aid stations will provide participants with food and drinks to be consumed on the site. – There will be first aid positioned in all aid stations. It is crucial that participants help any person in distress, alert the nearest control post and/or contact the organization. – Participants must obey by the decisions of specialized medical personnel.
2.9. Mandatory Material / Material Checks
– During the competition, all participants must have all of the mandatory material. At any time during the race, the directors or the head of a control point can verify this. The participant will have to accept these inspections peacefully, without question, under penalty of being excluded from the race, according to the list of penalties in article 2.11. Mandatory Material The mandatory equipment for each day will be: -Race bib (provided by the organization) – to be placed in the chest abdomen or leg of the participant and visible during the entire race – Mobile phone in working order in Portugal with the number of the organization registered in case of problems. – A survival blanket – A rain jacket – A whistle – 500ml refillable capacity => Depending on weather conditions, this mandatory list may change. Please take a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, waterproof pants in anticipation of weather conditions that could change unfavorably.
2.10. Information about road traffic
– Since road traffic will not be closed for the event, participants must comply with the traffic regulations in cities and public roads, as well as respecting the agricultural areas and private homes, under penalty of having to assume potential damages and damages resulting from their failure to comply with these rules.
2.11. Penalties/disqualification
– The director of the race and the head of each control point are responsible for the application of the rules and regulations governing the event, and are permitted to apply the penalties and disqualifications set out in the table below.

– The event organization is empowered to disqualify or disallow the permanence in the event of those competitors that at any point configure any of the following cases: * Physical or mental health problems. * Abuse or wilful violation of this regulations. * Unsportsmanlike conduct. * Excessive Ingestion of alcohol. * Participation in the event under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs. * Gross disregard for laws, religions and customs. * Gross disrespect for the environment (includes purposely throwing down energy bar wrappers or other materials). * Gross disrespect for organization staff. * Gross disregard for traffic rules.
2.12. Responsibilities of the Participants
– Registered participants in MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final accept to participate voluntarily and under their own responsibility in the competition. Therefore, they exempt, renounce, agree not to claim or require the organization, employees, officials, sponsors and other participants of any responsibility to them and their heirs, in everything that exceeds the coverage of their, the employees and participants, responsibilities. – The organization will not be responsible for accidents caused by sudden illness, negligence, or negligent ignorance of rules and regulations, as well as accidents that may occur during travel to reach the start of the race or after having finished the race.
2.13. Insurance
– The Organizer contracts a civil liability insurance for the duration of the event. The purpose of this insurance contract is to guarantee the liability that, under civil law, is attributable to the Insured as the organizer of the event. This insurance guarantees the minimum coverage of its responsibilities, its collaborators and participants, only in the event of an accident that occurs during the race. – The Organizer contracts a personal accident insurance to all the participants for the duration of the event. Personal accident insurance covers the risk of bodily injury, permanent disability or death of the insured person as a result of an accident during the race (from the moment the participant starts the race until crossing the finish line). – In case of accident, the participant must, firstly, contact the organization, which will provide his transportation to the most appropriate medical institution for his state of health, along with the insurance claim form with the respective policy number, stamped and signed by the organization (insurance holder). Sometimes, in view of the urgency/severity of some accidents, it becomes impossible to arrange the insurance claim form. In those circumstances, the participation of the sinister can be made after first aid is completed. – The claim must be done to the insurer for up to eight business days after the date of the accident. After this date, the insurer reserves the right not to accept such participation. – Any document related to an expense claim whose insurance claim was already participated, will be paid in advance by the respective injured person and its originals sent to the insurer for later reimbursement. – All expenses are paid by the participant and then reimbursed by the insurer in accordance with the insurance coverage (except the excess), that is, if the insurance participation is duly made and accepted by the insurer. – The organization will not assume expense claims of which it did not become aware in a timely manner to activate the insurance. Death or permanent disability by accident: 28.158,56 Euros Funeral expenses: 2.252,69 Euros Accident Treatment Expenses, expenses concerned with rescue, search, injured person transportation: 4.505,37 Euros Age Limit: 75 years Excess: 75,00 Euros (responsibility of the participant, amount that must be paid at the place where the participant is assisted) – Although the organization provides insurance for all participants, it is advisable that runners should have a personal insurance that covers the practice of trail running. If the participant goes itself for hospital assistance without any knowledge of the organization, the insurance will not be activated and the participant will have to assume 100% of the expenses incurred. NOTE: Expenses whose amounts exceed the amounts indicated above, the difference is only and exclusively supported by the injured person. The organization declines any liability in this regard. The excess is assumed by the participant.
2.14. Course Change
– The Organizer reserves the right to change or adjust the routes of the stages depending on possible difficulties that it may encounter until the week of the event, such as non-authorization to pass through private areas, parts of the route that are damaged, not being possible to recover in good time, among other situations. The Organization will try to preserve as much as possible the distances and elevation gain, announced before the opening of registrations. All changes will be announced in the event’s official website.
2.15. Race Cancellation or Suspension
– At any time, the Organizer may have to cancel or suspend the event, due to bad weather or unsafe conditions, landslides, fire, earthquake, natural disaster, water shortages, power outages, closure of local parks, roads or parts of the route, protests or blockages along the route, riot, strikes, outbreak or escalation of diseases or epidemics or pandemics (including Covid-19), imposing quarantine or banning travel, acts or threats of terrorism, blockages or disorder, other industrial action, civil commotion and any legislation, regulation, decision or omission (including failure to grant any necessary permission) from any government, court, competent national authority or Administrative Body. – If the cancellation occurs there will be no refund.
2.16. The Following is not Allowed
– Exchange of bib number or use of it by someone other than the registered participant; – Any person found with the bib number of another participant during the course of the event, both him and the actual holder of the bib, will both be disqualified from the event.

3. Registrations

– The registration period for the Open category runners will take place from July 22 to September 15, 2022 (if it does not sold out).
3.1. Registration Process
– The web page will have a link to the registrations platform. Only registrations done on this platform will be accepted. – Each participant must correctly fill the registration form and pay the corresponding value, being the participant responsible for the accuracy of his data. – The race organization is not responsible for eventual liability refusals by the insurance company(ies) due to incorrect information introduced on the registration form by the participant. – The successful payment of the registration fee guarantees a place. – Payment must be done by payment card, debit or credit. – After a well succeeded payment, the name of the participant will appear on the entries list. – Entries from participants who are punished by their respective federations due to sanctions imposed in the wake of anti-doping controls will not be accepted.
3.2. Fees of Registration
– The fee for the registration on the event is 100€. – The registration fee covers all services described in these regulations, however it does not include any commissions or taxes on the registration price, which will be charged at the time of payment.
3.3. Registration Cancellation
– Cancellation requests will not be accepted, and registrations will not be refunded.
3.4. Material included with the registration
– Custom race bib with integrated chip or similar; – Drop bag for the event; – Race gift.
3.5. Check-In
3.5.1. Check-in Time and Location – Check-in must be done at Enotel Lido on October 25, from 2h00 pm to 8h00 pm. 3.5.2. For Check-In, participants must present the following documents: – Identification card or passport used at the registration process. 3.5.3. Face-to-face check-in – The check-in must be done only by the participant. – The participant, before leaving the check-in, must confirm that the bib number is correct.
3.6. Services provided
3.6.1. – Services included in the registration fee – Personal Accident Insurance; – Solid and liquid supplies in the aid stations, while in competition; – First aid in all aid stations and at the finish; – Transport from Enotel Lido to the start of each stage; – Transport from an aid station to the finish line of each stage, only in case of retirement or being stopped by the organization from continuing on the stage; – Transport from the finish of each stage to Enotel Lido; – Massage at the end of each stage.

4. Categories and Prizes

4.1. Place and date of the delivery of prizes

– The daily prize giving ceremony will take place in Enotel Lido, except for the last day.
– On the last day, besides the daily prize giving ceremony, a final, overall, prize ceremony will also be held, and the Golden Trail World Series winners, male and female, will be the ones with the biggest number of points from the best 3 results of the GTWS races + the final stage race in Madeira. The points will be given on each stage, not on the overall ranking. 100 points for each stage winners. 50 points for the Time Trial winners. In total 450 points will be given to the winners during the 5 days in Madeira.
– The male and female Golden Trail Climber Champions, the male and female Golden Trail Downhiller Champions, and the male and female Golden Trail Sprinter Champions will be the ones with the lowest cumulated time on the different stage race sections.

The GTNS Team ranking will be determined using the TIME from the 2 best men and women from each stage during the MADEIRA OCEAN TRAILS GTWS FINAL in the OPEN CATEGORY.
This ranking will enable you to create a race strategy between the Team’s 6 runners, knowing that we will not take the stage race’s overall ranking into account.
The TOP3 GTNS Team will get access to prize money.

This ranking will not consider the international elite runners from the GTWS
The GOLDEN TICKET 2023 allow invitations* on 3 races of the GTWS 2023.
*Invitations in the maximum specified sum : €600 and €1,500 for runners travelling from overseas.

– To be able to participate in the overall ranking and results it is mandatory for an athlete to complete in all stages of the event.

Addition of the points of the 3 best results of the races from the GTWS 2022 + of each day of the Madeira Oceans&Trails Stage Race.

On each stage, segments of SPRINT, CLIMB, DESCENT will be delimited by flags specific to each segment color. Each runner will be timed, the 3 fastest M&W runners of the day will be rewarded.

The 3 M&W runners with the least time on the 5 segments of each discipline will be rewarded.

– A specific race bib will be given after the first stage and for the following stages to the overall leader, Climber leader, Downhill leader, Sprint leader, and Team leader. If a runner is leading several categories, he/she naturally only wears one bib: the one designated by the order of priority: 1. Overall leader 2. Climber leader 3. Downhill leader 4. Sprint Leader 5. Team Leader.

– The five different stages will be won by the competitors who earn the lowest time at the end of the stage, after adding the appropriate penalties, if any.

– For the five stages, only those participants who pass through all check points (manual or electronic time registration) and have reached the finish line within the stipulated time shall be classified.

– The team classification will be taken by adding the scores of the three best participants of each team.

– The presence of the winners of each award is mandatory at the awards ceremony.

5. QUARTZ Event Program

The Organization of MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final has decided to set up the QUARTZ Event Program to protect participant’s health and to contribute to doping-free sport.

The QUARTZ Event Program has neither the vocation nor the competence to replace anti-doping rules but aims to strengthen the medical supervision before, during and after the competition.

The QUARTZ Event program is carried out in collaboration with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA), Athletes For Transparency association (AFT) and Ultra Sports Science Foundation (USS).

The QUARTZ Event program is managed by a Medical Commission solely composed of doctors. This Medical Commission can take advice from experts of its choice and specifically give a consultative advice to the race direction on the medical condition of participants.

This Medical Commission can go as far as to suggest to the race direction that a participant should be excluded from competition for health reasons before competition (« no start ») or not ranked after the competition for non-compliance with the procedures.

The QUARTZ Event Program is for each participant of the event who agrees to:
1. Declare to the Medical Commission the following medical information:

Any medical history and/or pathology, in particular those which may increase risks during competition.
The use of regular treatments or medication or dietary supplements at least during the 30 days prior to the start of the competition.
Request or use of a substance or method subject to a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).
The declaration of medical information to the Medical Commission is done through the ITRA health space for which each participant has access after having created a free runner account on the ITRA website: The declared medical information is only accessible by the doctors of the Medical Commission, the designated experts as well as to the medical team during an eventual care during the competition.

2. Provide all urinary and/or blood and/or hair and/or salivary samples required from 30 days before the competition and up to 15 days after the competition
and also consent to the associated analysis of these samples, on the understanding that the costs for sampling and analyses are covered directly by the Organization.

3. Do not participate in the competition when using:
Within 60 days before the start of the competition and during the competition:
Intravenous iron infusion

Within 7 days before the start of the competition and during competition:
Intravenous infusion
Gas inhalation
Substance subject to a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) according to the WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) Prohibited List published annually
Glucocorticoids regardless of the mode of administration Thyroid synthesis hormones except in case of partial or total removal of the thyroid or hypothyroidism of medical origin.

Within 24 hours before the start of the competition and during competition
Beta-2-agonist regardless of the mode of administration
Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) regardless
of the mode of administration

The possible use of these different substances may be identified in the context of the analysis carried out before and/or after the competition or any other means of investigation.

4. Accept to answer any meeting request on site or remotely (phone or videoconference) that the Medical Commission may ask for in order to discuss their ability or not to participate in the competition or not to be rank after the competition.

5. Submit any doping control form legible completed within 30 days before the start of the competition and up to 15 days after the competition.

6. Accept the use, for the only purpose of research and in a strictly anonymous way, of data concerning him. Each participant has a right of access, rectification and opposition to data concerning him. The Medical Commission is the authority with which the participant can exercise this right.

Any unreasonable breach, refusal, or transmission of erroneous information in connection with the QUARTZ Event Program can result in the exclusion of the participant from the competition before the competition or not to be rank after the competition.

– The top finishers on each stage will have to undergo an anti-doping test. Other athletes may be randomly checked.

6. Image Rights and Advertising

– The participant authorizes the processing of voice and/or image data captured during the course of the event, assigning the rights over them to the Organizer and its sponsors for ten years, free of charge and without the need for prior consultation on the forms of use, always acting the Organizer in good faith and in accordance with its Law and Principles. The purpose of processing is the historical archive, promotion and dissemination of the event in the various media available, namely in posters, flyers, exclusive merchandising products, social networks, internet sites, television, radio and other equivalents. Only the organization can transfer this image right to the Media via an accreditation or adapted license.

– GTWS® is a registered trademark. The Organizer reserves the exclusive right to exploit the image of MADEIRA OCEAN & TRAILS® GTWS Final and photographic and journalistic audiovisuals of the event. Any advertising project or media produced for publication must obtain the prior authorization of the organization.

– There will be accreditation of journalists, photographers and audiovisuals, which grants them access to restricted places. This accreditation must be carried out on the official website of the event.

– The use of publicity material provided by the organization (bib, stickers, etc.) is compulsory. Modifying, folding or hiding advertising material will be penalized.

7. Data Protection

– The participants’ data collected within the scope of registration in the event through the platform will be recorded for the Organization’s needs and in particular to identify each participant, in order to communicate information related to their participation before, during or after the event. Filling in the data indicated as mandatory is necessary to be able to participate in the event.

– The Organization’s Data Protection Officer (EPD) contacts are:
– The data processing operations carried out by the Organization fit into one or more specific purposes, constituting a basis of legitimacy for the consent of the data subject and the treatment is considered necessary for:
Communication of information of an informative, promotional and commercial nature to the participant before, during or after the event.
The personal data collected may, even and eventually, be processed for statistical purposes, for information dissemination or promotional actions and for communication actions, through direct communication, whether by correspondence, email, messages or any other electronic communications service. However, prior information and the collection of express authorization for these last purposes are always ensured, and users may, at any time, exercise their right to oppose the use of their personal data for other purposes that beyond the management of the relationship with the Organizer within the scope of the event.

– Participant data is kept in the database for a maximum period of 6 months years. After 6 months, and unless the runner authorizes the organization to keep their data, all data is deleted except the participant’s last name, first name, date of birth, gender and nationality to maintain the classification.

– For the purposes of sports insurance, personal data, namely: name, gender, identification number, citizen card, date of birth, nationality, address, email and mobile phone, will be transferred to the insurance company that the Organization has contracted.

– For the purposes of timing the event, personal data, namely: name, gender, category, date of birth, citizen card, email, mobile phone, emergency contacts, nationality.

– In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU RGPD 2016/679), any participant can exercise their right to access, rectify or cancel their personal data by sending an email to
– Any request for access or modification of personal data will be processed as soon as possible and within 1 month after the request being received.

8. Information

Notes and changes

– These rules may be edited, changed or improved at any time by the organizer, without prior notice until October 1st, 2022. Each time these Regulations are modified, it will be indicated in the line reserved for the version of the document and its date, eg: (Regulation (v.01.01 – 2022-07-12)).

– The race organization shall decide on all matters related to the event that have not been subject to regulation or on misinterpretations of these regulations.
